Dirty Faded Headlights

Here in Cyprus you may have noticed that the new plastic headlights fade in the sun. Personally I think that glass ones were better but in the interest of style and safety they are all plastic now. If your headlights are faded you need to buy some rubbing compound (sold at most petrol stations – I prefer 3G but you may have to go to paint shop suppliers for this). What you then have to do is polish the headlight by hand two or three times, the harder you rub the better the results. What you are doing is rubbing off the top layer of the plastic leaving clear plastic behind. Simon Says “This may need doing every year as once it starts it can’t be stopped.”
